PIMPLES

 Pimples are small growths on the surface of your skin. They may become inflamed or discolored. Acne typically causes pimples to develop, most commonly on your face, chest, shoulders and upper back.


SOME CAUSES OF ACNES AND PIMPLES.

Hormonal fluctuations. 

Androgens are hormones that elevate in adolescent boys and girls during puberty, resulting in the enlargement of the sebaceous glands and increased production of sebum, the body's natural oil.

Emotional stress and sleep deprivation.

Emotional stress, anxiety, and inadequate sleep can exacerbate acne by stimulating the release of cytokines, minute proteins that promote inflammation, particularly around the sebaceous glands responsible for oil production.


 Inadequate hygiene practices. 

Acne breakouts may also be linked to inadequate hygiene practices. Furthermore, excessive washing or harsh scrubbing can lead to skin irritation and exacerbate acne.

Honey is also a natural humectant, so it helps keep the skin moist but not oily. This is because humectants draw moisture from the skin without replacing it.

To use honey to treat acne and oily skin, spread a thin layer, preferably raw, onto your face; let it dry for about 10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly with warm water.

 USE OF CREAMS; Several medical creams can be used to treat acne, including:

1. Benzoyl Peroxide: Kills bacteria and reduces oil production.

2. Salicylic Acid: Helps unclog pores and reduce swelling.

3. Retinoids (e.g., Tretinoin, Adapalene): Promote cell turnover and prevent clogged pores.

4. Antibiotics (e.g., Clindamycin, Erythromycin): Reduce bacteria and inflammation.

5. Azelaic Acid: Kills bacteria and reduces inflammation.

6. Dapsone Gel: Reduces inflammation and bacterial growth.


These treatments are often used in combination and should be prescribed by a healthcare provider based on the severity and type of acne.

Take supplements.

Don't forget to take omega-3. Omega-3 fatty acids don't just keep your skin healthy and help improve acne, by the way. They've also been linked to benefits for your heart, eyes, and brain. 

Limit sun exposure.

Catching some rays may dry out pimples in the short term, but it can have unwanted skin consequences in the long run. Frequent sun is not nice for your dreamed perfect skin as dark spots can be caused by UV damage from the sun. Addressing dark spots and protecting the skin from further UV damage can help to prevent skin cancer.

Wear sunscreen when going outdoors.

Too much sun has many damaging effects on the skin. Sunburn can also lead to an overproduction of oils on the skin and as we are aware of, excess oil on the skin can result to BREAKOUT.

Shampoo oily hair regularly. 

The oil and dirt from your hair can leak onto your skin and that would probably be you calling on BREAKOUT.

Moisturize with aloe vera.

Moisturizing keeps the skin out of dryness and you are aware that dryness can result to BREAKOUT.  Aloe vera is a tropical plant whose leaves produce a clear gel. The gel is often added to lotions, creams, ointments, and soaps because of how great it can be on the skin.

Get quality sleep

Getting at least eight(8) hours of sleep in a day will go a long way in helping you keep your skin beautifully glowing.
